History

1982

Isher Hangers was founded in 1982 by Kulwant Singh Chatha, originally trading as Isher Wire Products from a small unit in Birmingham, supplying wire hangers to the dry-cleaning sector.

1987

As trends changed, plastic hangers were added to the range in 1987, and the business grew to serve manufacturers, wholesalers, and retailers directly.

1992

Today, Isher Hangers operates from a 50,000+ sq ft factory in Ladywood, Birmingham, with an additional storage base in West Bromwich. We remain a family-run business, now under the chairmanship of founder Kulwant Singh Chatha.

2010

Our in-house product design department — equipped with 3D CAD and rapid prototyping facilities — works alongside our engineering team to convert customer designs into bespoke moulding tools, allowing us to keep pace with changing trends in hanger design

2026
